Abstract:

To obtain a high efficiency power generating system by using a coal for a power generation resource.

This method for MHD single high efficiency power generating includes a thermochemical coal gasifying step of converting the waste heat of an exhaust gas from the MHD generator 1b of an MHD power generator 1 into the chemical energy of a coal gas by a coal gasifying furnace 2, a preheating step of recovering the waste heat of the exhaust gas via the coal gasifying furnace 2 as the sensible heat of a coal gas fuel by a fuel preheater 3, and an iodine-sulfur reaction step of converting the waste heat of the exhaust gas fed via the fuel preheater 3 into a hydrogen energy via an iodine-sulfur reaction in an IS system 4. The method recovers the waste heat of the exhaust gas of a high temperature of the MHD generator 1b as the chemical energy and the sensible heat of the fuel via the above-mentioned three steps. The method recirculates the recovered energy to the burner 1a of the MHD generator 1 and burns the coal gas fuel with a pure oxygen.
