PURPOSE: To enable to easily expand distances between warp rods so as to facilitate the insertion of weft rods between the warp rods in the rod type three dimensional loom, although a warp rod support plate substantially eliminates a clearance given between the warp rods.

CONSTITUTION: In the rod style three-dimensional multi-shaft loom for weaving fibers into a three-dimensional woven fabric by inserting a weft rod group 2 into a warp rod group 1 comprising many warp rods 1a arranged and held parallel to each other from plural directions, the warp rod group 1 is inserted into the holding holes 16 of the support plate 15 to hold its arranged state. When the support plate is held in a state obliquely crossed to the warp rods, the holding holes 16 of the support plate are opened so as to arrange the respective inserted rods 1a in a pitch corresponding to the cross-sectional dimensions of the respective weft rods 2a. The warp rod group is thus spread for the smooth insertion of the weft rod group by changing the direction of the support plate 15 from the direction inclined on the warp rods to the direction orthogonal to the warp rods.
