Abstract:
PURPOSE: To quickly execute a hand-over operation by providing a system with a secondary station capable of communicating with one primary station in plural frequency division multiplex(FDM) channels (CHs) and monitoring the quality parameter of the other FDM CHs in each receiving half-frame out of n time division double(TDD) frames. CONSTITUTION: The FDM device has 40CHs and each CH is divided into TDD frames Tx, Tx at an interval of 2ms. A mobile secondary station sets up the final receiving half frame Rx of the nTDDs as a super frame(SF) and uses it for monitoring the other CHs so as to record the states and quality of other CHs. Namely when all FDM CHs are high quality, the SF successively scans the other 49CHs at about 15sec and the value of n becomes 200 at maximum, but in the low quality, the value of n becomes a minimum value '10' and 39CHs are scanned at about 1sec. At the time of determining the necessity of hand-over of the current CH, the secondary station transmits a CH of allowable quality to a new primary station. Consequently the scanning time of each CH can be shortened.
