To solve problems in which creasing of paper, paper breaking, and lowering of operation efficiency occur, because a fluctuation of a moisture content caused by nonlinear change of a production amount can not be controlled in change of papermaking.
The change is production amount of papermaking is obtained from absolute dry basis weight before and after changing papermaking and papermaking speed, and changing amount of steam pressure operation of a drier is determined so as to control a fluctuation of a moisture content caused by nonlinear change of production amount. The operation method can be combined with a conventional vapor pressure operation method. Since the moisture content can be made constant in change of papermaking, the above method does not cause trouble such as paper breakage and has effect capable of increasing operation rate before the product is completely changed over after change of papermaking.
