Title:
METHOD FOR PACKING FIBER AGGREGATE IN MOLD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3697474
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packing a fiber aggregate in a mold capable of packing the aggregate even into a mold cavity having a complicate form by an air-blowing method and enabling the control of the bulk density to a prescribed level.
SOLUTION: A fiber aggregate consisting of a matrix composed of crimped synthetic staple fibers and containing binder fibers having a melting point lower than that of the staple fibers and dispersed and mixed into the matrix is supplied to mold cavities C1 and C2 and packed in the mold by an air-blowing method to carry the aggregate with the air stream. Plural mold cavities C1, C2 extending from the blowing port E of the fiber aggregate in the blowing direction are formed in a direction perpendicular to the blowing direction in a state freely movable in the direction perpendicular to the blowing direction. The packed fiber aggregate can be compressed by mold cavity walls W1-W4 partitioning the plural mold cavities from each other. The fiber aggregate is filled in the cavities by the air flow from the blowing port E corresponding to each of the mold cavities C1 and C2.
