Abstract:
To provide a method for effectively preventing a heat exchanger which is used in a petrochemical plant or polyolefin production plant, from fouling, and suppressing decrease of performance, stably operatable for long time without a sacrifice of production rate.
The invention allows use of a polyoxyalkylene compound expressed by general formula [I] as a specific nonionic surfactant, and a compound expressed by general formula [II] is preferably used. In general formula [I] R1, R2 or R3 are each the same or different selected from H, a 1-20C alkyl, a 6-20C aryl and a 1-20C acyl group. In general formula [II], m, n and p are each a number of average repeating unit, and m=1-20, n=2-50, p=1-20.
