Abstract:

To use a function provided in a normal processor primarily and to avoid bugs of a program stored in a ROM without using a complicated and special function such as interruption by substituting instructions having bugs out of instructions stored in the ROM with data having a prescribed value.

A processor 100 is provided with a program memory 110, a program sequencer 120, a program decoder 130, and a program execution part 140. The program memory 110 includes a ROM 111 and a RAM 112. Plural microprograms are stored in the ROM 111 and the RAM 112. In this constitution, branch instructions stored in the ROM 111 are substituted to be able to change the sequence of a program. Thus, only normal instructions are used to avoid the bugs in the normal operating state of the processor 100.
