Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a 1,3-diyne compound under mild reaction condition, using an extremely small amount of expensive noble metal catalysts, without using a ligand and an oxidizing agent except for oxygen, and enabling easy recovery of the catalyst.
A 1,3-diyne compound is produced by suspending a solution of a terminal alkyne compound incorporated with a nonhomogeneous platinum group element catalyst such as Pd black, Pd/C and Rh/C and a univalent copper compound in an oxygen-containing atmosphere and carrying out homocoupling reaction of the terminal alkyne compounds.
