Abstract:
To produce an aerogel with a pore part, which has a pore part having a controlled size and shape formed therein.
The method for producing the aerogel with the pore part comprises the steps of: at first, freeze-drying a cube-shaped hydrogel, which is formed by containing a plurality of cellulose fibers, in a state that at least a part of the hydrogel is immersed in water, to form an aerogel 35 from the hydrogel; and then compressing the aerogel 35 in a thickness direction of the aerogel 35, which is orthogonal to a growing direction of the cellulose fiber, to reduce the thickness of the aerogel 35 in comparison with the thickness before the compression and form a plurality of compressed pore parts in the aerogel.
