Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an alkylbenzene hydroperoxide, which comprises oxidizing an alkyl benzene (alkylbenzene of raw material) not containing a secondary carbon-containing alkyl group with an oxygen-containing gas so that the pH of an alkali water layer in a reactor is 7.5 to 10.0, and has an excellent effect that the alkylbenzene hydroperoxide is obtained in a high yield.
This method for producing the alkylbenzene hydroperoxide, wherein the concentration of the alkyl benzene (alkylbenzene of raw material) not containing a secondary carbon-containing alkyl group in a raw material liquid containing the alkyl benzene of raw material is ≤2 wt.%.
