To provide a method for producing a fiber-reinforced plastic material which can impregnate a fibrous base material with a resin uniformly in a short time.
In the method for producing the fiber reinforced plastic material, a peel layer 4, a fine pass medium PM1 and a coarse pass medium PM2 are arranged in turn on a reinforcing fiber substrate 3 when the reinforcing fiber substrate 3 mounted on a base stand 2 is covered with a bag film to be impregnated under vacuum. A liquid resin R supplied to a resin supply part S is diffused quickly and uniformly in a sheetlike state by the pass medium PM2, and passed through the pass media PM2 and PM1 and the peel layer 4 to be infiltrated uniformly into the substrate 3. After curing of the resin, the pass media PM2 and PM1 and the peel layer 4 are peeled off but the pattern of the pass medium PM1 is applied to the surface of an FRP product without being transferred thereto because the pass medium PM1 is fine to improve the surface properties of the FRP product.
