Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a loom member made of Cr- containing steel which has improved corrosion resistance in the surface while maintaining the wear resistance characteristic of the Cr-containing steel.

Cr-containing steel is produced and worked into a loom member, and the member is thereafter dipped into an aqueous solution in which ozone generated by an ozone generator using air as the raw material has been dissolved. The member is preferably dipped into the aqueous solution in which ozone has been dissolved at a concentration of ≥0.2 ppm, and which has been heated at ≥60°C. When passivation treatment is performed in the aqueous solution in which ozone has been dissolved, Cr is concentrated into a passivation film to improve its corrosion resistance.
