Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a polyester having good color and excellent moldability without containing an antimony compound substantially.
This method for producing a polyester comprises polycondensation of a product that is obtained by an esterification reaction or an ester interchange reaction between an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its ester formable derivative and a diol or its ester formable derivative, wherein the method comprises usage of a titanium complex as a polycondensation catalyst and addition of a dye as a color adjusting agent.
