Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a stable polymer micelle having high drug content and provide a composition containing the polymer micelle.

The objective method for the production of a polymer micelle comprises the dissolution of a drug and a specific copolymer in a water- immiscible organic solvent, the mixing of the obtained solution with water to form an O/W-type emulsion and the slow evaporation of the organic solvent from the solution. The polymer micelle composition containing a scarcely water- soluble drug encapsulated therein can be produced by this method.
