To provide a method for producing a compound, in which an aromatic compound containing a radioactive halogen-substituted group is combined with an amine or phosphine, in a yield to stand practical use.

The production method comprises directly reacting a radioactive halogen-containing alcohol having a structure in which one or more hydrogens in an aromatic compound are replaced with radioactive halogens and the compound is combined with a hydroxy group through an alkylene group, with any of various amines or phosphines under an acidic condition. The number of processes after radioactive halogen labeling is reduced and the yield of the objective compound is improved.
