Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a recycle pulp reutilizable for a sanitation supply and having ash and antibacterial properties suited to sanitation supply standards from a used sanitation supply.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a recycle pulp reutilizable for a sanitation supply where, from a used sanitation supply including pulp fiber and a high water-absorbing polymer, the pump fiber is recovered. The method includes an ozone treatment step where a sanitation supply or pulp fiber is immersed into an ozone-containing aqueous solution to decompose the high water absorbing polymer, and, before the ozone treatment step, simultaneously with the ozone treatment step, or after the ozone treatment step, the used sanitation supply or pulp fiber is treated with a cationic antibacterial agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
