To provide a method for producing wool fibrous structure excellent in feeling with softness and sliminess like cashmere.
The invention relates to the method for producing wool fiber textile excellent in feeling by treating a wool fibrous structure with a protease, wherein the wool fiber textile is a woven knitted good consists of spun yarn using merino wool, and the scale of the wool monofilament is incompletely removed by using a neutral protease as the proteolytic enzyme and adjusting the amount of the enzyme, treating time, treating temperature, treating pH to satisfy the following (1) and (2) to obtain the wool fibrous structure excellent in feeling. (1) The content of the wool monofilament with completely removed scale is not more than 50% of the total wool monofilament. (2) The content of the scales with at least 800 nm of height in the total scales is not more than 50% in the heights of scales remaining in the wool monofilament (in the proviso that the height of scales measured is at least 400 nm).
