Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method and device by which trial bending and actual bending can be measured dividedly.
CONSTITUTION: In performing bending by a press brake (bender) 1 through cooperation between the punch 11 and die 13 that are oppositely facing each other, a signal is transmitted by a position detector 17 provided on the movable side when the punch 11 or the die 13 reaches the lower limit or the upper limit. A time interval between this signal and the next is measured by a timer 29 (device for measuring time interval) when it receives the upper limit signal UL from the position detector 17. A comparison is made between the length of the time interval and that of a prescribed reference set time TR by a time comparing and judging part 31. If the time interval is shorter than the reference set time TR, the bending corresponding to the previous signal is judged actual bending; if the time interval is longer than the reference set time TR, it is judged trial bending. On the basis of this judgment, summary is each made by an arithmetic part 33 and displayed on CRT (recording part) 25.
