Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover a pulp fiber from used sanitary articles including the pulp fiber and a polymer absorber.SOLUTION: A method for recovering a pulp fiber from used sanitary articles comprises: a step to decompose a polymer absorber by immersing the used sanitary articles in ozone water; a step to obtain the residue of the sanitary articles from which the polymer absorber is removed by discharging ozone water in which decomposed polymer absorber is dissolved; and a step to wash the residue of the sanitary articles and to decompose the residue of the sanitary articles to components by agitating the residue of the sanitary articles from which the polymer absorber is removed in an aqueous solution containing a disinfectant or water.
