Abstract:
To provide a method for recovering rhodium from a polymer-contg. carbonylated product.
A method for recovering rhodium from a soln. contg. rhodium and tar produced by carbonylation of methanol, methyl acetate, dimethyl ether and/or their reactive deriv. contains extraction using a combination of water, methyl iodide and methyl acetate and the combination wherein methyl acetate is at least 20% of the sum of methyl iodide and methyl acetate.
