Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a defective yarn, capable of surely removing the yarn independent on a kind of weft yarns.
SOLUTION: This method for removing the inferior yarn by setting the inferior yarn 1a caused by an inferior weft yarn insertion as a state of linking it with a main nozzle 2 in the time of generating the inferior weft yarn insertion, inserting a new weft yarn 1 into a opening 12 of warp yarns 11 from a yarn-supplying side by the main nozzle 2 or the main nozzle 2 and a supplemental nozzle 3 and then pulling the inferior yarn 1a from the yarn-supplying side to remove it from the opening 12, is provided by changing the insertion length of the weft yarn 1 corresponding to the kind of the weft yarn 1 or changing the working condition of the nozzle (the main nozzle 2 or the supplemental nozzle, or the main nozzle 2 and the supplemental nozzle) corresponding to the kind of the weft yarn 1 in the process of inserting the new weft yarn 1 into the opening 12 of the warp yarns 11.
