Abstract:

To enable to surely prevent the elusion of hexavalent chromium when reusing oxidized slag generated when the chromium-contained steel is produced.

In a method for reusing the oxidized slag generated when the chromium-contained steel is produced, the oxidized slag having a composition after melting and refining, consisting of, by mass, 35-55% CaO, 5-20% SiO2, 0.5-15% Al2O3, 3-15% MgO, 2-15% MnO, 0.05-0.5% CaF2, 10-30% T.Fe, 0.2-6.0% Cr2O3 and the balance inevitable impurities is cooled so that the amount of ore phase in which manganese element forms a solid solution in the iron-oxide of the oxidized slag, becomes ≥12.5 mass%.
