Title:
METHOD FOR SEPARATING COCOON FILAMENT DERIVED FROM INSECT FOR BAIT, FIBER PRODUCT USING THE SEPARATED COCOON FILAMENT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE FIBER PRODUCT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3837534
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a cocoon filament derived from an insect for bait; to provide a fiber product using the separated cocoon filament; and to provide a method for producing the fiber product.
SOLUTION: The method for separating the cocoon filament comprises adding a powdery separating agent containing talc and starch to the cocoon filament having impurities formed in a process for growing the insect and mixed therewith, treating the added product at a first filtering step and at a second filtering step in which a filter has a mesh smaller than that used in the first filtering step to remove the impurities and to separate the cocoon filament. The impurities are chrysalis, refuse of feed, exuviae, excrement of a larva, water or the like. The separated cocoon filament are carded to provide a silk web, and the silk web is spun to afford the spun yarn and the spun product. In another aspect, the silk web is blended with a silk web of a second fiber material such as fluffy cocoon to provide a composite silk web, the composite silk web is carded to provide a silk rap for composite spinning, and the silk rap is spun to afford the spun yarn and the spun product.
