Abstract:
To provide a method for separating a nucleic acid with a substance having an amino group and a carboxyl group and having a positive charge at the first pH, and to provide a solid substrate for separating a nucleic acid, used for the method.
This method for separating the nucleic acid from a nucleic acid-containing sample is characterized by comprising a step for bringing the nucleic acid-containing sample into contact with a bifunctional substance having a positive charge at the first pH to bind the nucleic acid to the substance, and a step for releasing the nucleic acid at the higher second pH than the first pH, and the solid substrate for separating the nucleic acid, capable of being used for the method.
