To provide a method of skewing a catheter chip which assures less wear of an arbor and a mold.
A catheter 1 is set on an arbor 2 followed by a molding process using a mold 3, and the arbor 2 is removed, and then the second arbor is inserted. In this method of manufacturing catheter chip, the second arbor has a greater diameter and cuts casting burrs formed at the edge of the catheter 1 so that they are separated from the catheter chip. Otherwise, the arbor and catheter are inserted in a mold to form the outer surface of the catheter, and then they are removed and inserted in a die, and casting burrs are punched off from the chip of the catheter material. It may be accepted that the punch-off process is executed with the same arbor or the second arbor which is provided for cutting or punching the burrs off from the catheter.
