Abstract:

To provide a method for surface treatment before coating the inner face of an iron pipe where the treatment method which enables the surface treatment time to be shortened by reducing the grinding amount.SOLUTION: After grinding with grind stone, the inner face of a cast iron pipe P is finished with shot blast b. The grinding with grind stone is carried out to a degree that coating is not obstructed. When it reaches a degree of oxide scale (dross a) capable of being removed with shot blast, remaining oxide scale (dross a) is removed with shot blast. The inner face of the cast iron pipe smoothed by grinding and shot blast is coated with powder composed of epoxy resin or the like to form a coating face c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
