Abstract:
PURPOSE: To transmit control information, which is generated by a control process, as a control cell. CONSTITUTION: On the side of transmission terminal EE, the control cell is matched with a format so as to be recognized as it is, empty cells to be transmitted are recognized through a link LT, and all the control cells to be transmitted are placed on the link LT in place of empty cells not to be transmitted at the point of time. On the side of reception terminal ER, on the other hand, a control cell detector DCC is provided for using the control cell for the control process, and the control cell is replaced with the empty cell as needed. The link LT carries an asynchronous time division multiplex system cell. The transmission terminal EE is provided with an empty cell detector DCV and a transmission control operator OCE and prepares the control information. The reception terminal ER is provided with the control cell detector DCC and a reception control operator OCR, recognizes the respective control cells, supplies them to a link 1cr and generates a signal trr. The reception control operator OCR receives information to be transmitted and prepares the control information to the control cell.
