Abstract:
To provide a method allowing a speedy and reliable operation, by improving a method for varying a friction coefficient between two mutually frictionally engaging surfaces, especially between two working faces of a friction brake.
Gas in a high pressure is jetted into a gap between both working faces 20 and 21 to form a gas film between both working faces 20 and 21, and the gas film affects an effective friction coefficient.
