To provide a method for weaving with a water jet loom by which weaving of a plain weave fabric having 1,000 to ≤1,800 cover factor can be carried out by using multifilament yarns having 30-100 dtex fineness and 20-60% elongation as warp yarns without sizing or twisting the warp yarns or without increasing the extent of shedding or without increasing the warp yarn tension at ≥800 rpm number of revolutions of the loom when the plain weave fabric is woven with the water jet loom.
The method for weaving with the water jet loom is characterized as follows. Weaving of the plain weave fabric having 1,000 to ≤1,800 cover factor is carried out by using the multifilament yarns having 30-100 dtex fineness and 20-60% elongation as the warp yarns with a positive easing apparatus. The cover factor=warp yarn density (yarns/2.54 cm)×[warp yarn fineness (dtex)]1/2+weft yarn density (yarns/2.54 cm)×[weft yarn fineness (dtex)]1/2.
