PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for weaving a woven fabric by which bobbins of feed wound yarns for the weft yarns can be exchanged without mixing a knot of a weft yarn in the woven fabric and without stopping a loom.
SOLUTION: This method for weaving them woven fabric by using a rapier loom comprises carrying out the bobbin-exchange by arranging a pair of yarn- feeding ends 10a and 10b the positions of which are alternately replaced to a weft-insertion position and a waiting position, at a weft-inserting opening at the side part of warp yarns 2, setting a pair of wound yarn bobbins 7A and 7B for feeding the weft yarns 3A and 3B to the yarn-feeding ends 10a and 10b, observing the remaining yarn amount of the wound yarn bobbin 7A while carrying out the weft-insertion from the yarn feed end 10a at the weft- insertion position, when the remaining yarn amount becomes less or equal to a tolerance, exchanging the yarn-feeding end 10a at the yarn insertion position with the yarn-feeding end 10b at the waiting position to each other without cutting the rear end of the weft yarn 3A finally subjected to the weft insertion, based on the detected signal, and exchanging the bobbins by connecting the weft yarn 3A' of a new wound yarn bobbin 7A' to the weft yarn 3A of the wound yarn bobbin 7A.
