Abstract:
To provide methods for treating, reducing and preventing hair follicle-related adverse skin/scalp conditions.SOLUTION: The methods include providing and orienting a device. The device is ultrasonic with transducers positioned at an angle other than 90° relative to a surface to which the ultrasound is to be applied. The methods include: orienting the device such that any ultrasound waves generated by the transducer are projected at an angle θ other than the perpendicular relative to a surface of skin at an area to which a topical composition has been applied; and delivering the ultrasound to the area to which the topical composition has been applied while maintaining the projection angle θ other than the perpendicular relative to the surface of the skin at the area to which the topical composition has been applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
