Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: methods for heat curing of various materials, such as heat curable materials or more specifically potting compounds, which are disposed within cavities with limited access to the materials; or curing for implementing such methods.SOLUTION: In the methods for heat curing of materials, a heat curable material 250 disposed within a cavity 212 is heated by a heating rod 310 protruding into the cavity 212 or through the cavity 212; the heating rod 310 is thermally coupled to the heat curable material 250 and is used to transfer heat to the heat curable material 250; for example, the heating rod 310 includes a resistive heating element; and the heating element may be positioned in such a way that the heat curable material 250 is selectively heated within the cavity 212 without significant heating of surrounding components. The heating rod 310 may be used to compress a part containing the cavity 212 or a stack including this part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2C
