PURPOSE: To constitute a capture circuit which can measure the time of high- speed pulses so that a microcomputer can have a capture function.
CONSTITUTION: The content of a counter 150 is updated based on a supplied clock and, by selecting one capture register out of a plurality of capture registers 110, 120, and 150 whenever a trigger signal is inputted, only the content of one selected capture register is latched without changing the contents of other capture registers. A capture register selection circuit 10 is provided with a D latch circuit 131 and RS latch circuit 133 to store the first-generated trigger signal. The circuit 10 is provided with an AND circuit 136 to discriminate the second-generated trigger signal and a D latch circuit 134 and RS latch circuit 137 to store the second-generated trigger signal. In addition, the circuit 10 is provided with inverters 135 and 138 and AND circuit 112 and 122 to discriminate latch conditions.
