Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a microporous film excellent in comfortability at a time of wearing as compared with a known film in the case adapted to clothing and a process for producing the same.
CONSTITUTION: A microporous film is composed of polyethylene having humidity permeability of at least 7,500 g/24 h.m2, air permeability of 10-60 sec/50 mol and a ultra-high mol.wt. and is produced by extruding a polyolefin soln. within a first solvent to cool the extruded film and removing the solvent to stretch the film. At this time, before the film is brought into contact with a cooling agent, only the single surface of the film is brought into close contact with a second solvent for polyolefin.
