Abstract:

To provide a microscope with no need of a movable mirror by installing a reflecting element which at least partially transmits radiation from one light source and at least partially reflects radiation form the other light source.

Beam 26 of infrared light incident is propagated to a toroidal reflector 24 through an input plane mirror. Also, visible light beam 30 proceeding an optical path through the plane mirror 28 is obtained from visible light rays. An infrared light detector, e.g. MCT detector 32, is installed next to a mirror 14 and infrared rays reflected by the mirror 14 are received through a MCT Cassegrain lens structure body 34. The mirror 14 is a partially reflecting mirror and reflects specially 80-90% of the infrared rays incident and transmits more than 50% of visible light rays. In other words, the mirror 14 can be fixed and is no need of being physically moved. Since no movable mirror is needed at the time of switching the mode of a microscope, the measurement speed can be heightened.
