A microwave dryer is provided at a hot-air type drying furnace that makes hot air blast an object to be dried when the object to be dried is transported by a conveyer to thereby reduce moisture contained in the object to be dried, and has a microwave oscillator that oscillates a microwave for drying the object to be dried, and a plurality of coaxial antennas that are inserted in a layer of the object to be dried to a depth so that a heating range of the object to be dried heated by the microwave includes the lowermost layer of the layer of the object to be dried, and irradiates the object to be dried with microwaves, and at least two of the plurality of coaxial antennas are arranged at positions different from each other in a width direction of the drying furnace, and positions of the coaxial antennas adjacent to each other in the width direction of the drying furnace are different from each other in a transportation direction.
