Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a milky detergent composition which presents a beautiful pearlescent appearance, is axcellent in detergency and foaming ability, and has good long-term dispersion stability by mixing a specified alkyl glycoside, an anionic surfactant, an opacifying agent and a specified polyhydric alcohol/ polyalkylene oxide adduct.
CONSTITUTION: The composition is obtained by mixing 1-40wt.% alkyl glycoside of formula I (wherein R1 is 8-18C linear or branched alkyl, alkenyl or alkylphenyl; R2 is 2-4C alkylene; G is a residue derived from a 5-6C reducing sugar; x is 0 to 5 on average; and y is 1.0 to 1.42 on average), 1-40wt.% anionic surfactant, 1-10wt.% opacifying agent, and 1-10wt.% polyhydric alcohol/ polyalkylene oxide adduct having an average molecular weight of 300 to 4,000. As the opacifying agent, it is desirable to use a compound selected from among those of formula II (wherein R3 is 15-23C alkyl or alkenyl; n is 1 to 3; and A is a 15-24C fatty acid residue) and formula III (wherein R3 is as defined above) and a glyceride of a 16-24C fatty acid.
