Title:
MIZUHIKI (RED-(BLACK-) AND-WHITE PAPER STRING (FOR TYING PRESENTS))
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08113856
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain MIZUHIKI [red-(black)-and-white paper strings (for tying presents)] having an elegant and light high-grade feeling of a characteristic noble metal by winding a long and narrow piece of a noble metal-vapor metallized composite film on the outer periphery of a core of twisted paper without causing gaps.

CONSTITUTION: The back of a base film consisting of polyethylene terephthalate and having 6-9μm thickness is subjected to vacuum metallizing with a noble metal such as silver, gold or an alloy consisting of them. The metallized film is coated with a protecting layer and the surface of the film is provided with a colored resin coating film to form the noble metal-vapor metallized composite film. The metallized composite film is cut into long and narrow pieces by a micro slitter. The protecting layer is formed by subjecting an aluminum foil, paper or nonwoven fabric through a polyamide resin coating film or an urethane adhesive layer containing a rust preventive such as a triazole-based one to thermal contact bonding to the film. The long and narrow piece of the metallized composite film is wound on a core of twisted paper with laying the protecting layer inside while applying an adhesive to the core of twisted paper without causing gaps to give MIZUHIKI.
