Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinking agent composition which is a crosslinking composition based on a reaction product of cyclic alkylene urea and polyfunctional aldehyde, is adaptable to an intended application, and is equivalent to a system based on known formaldehyde or suitably coincides with a known system.SOLUTION: There are provided a product H which is a mixture H of a product P of cyclic alkylene urea U and at least polyfunctional aldehyde A2, and (a) an aminoplast forming agent M different from the cyclic alkylene urea U and (b) a product formed by reaction of at least one monofunctional aldehyde A1 and U and/or A2, where in some cases, the product H is etherified by reaction of at least a part of a hydroxyl group formed by addition reaction of an N-H group and an aldehyde group and alcohol having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and glyoxal exists in at least one polyfunctional aldehyde A2 and a production process of the same; and a method for using the same in a coating composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
