PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality product free from defective transfer or duplicated transfer, by a method wherein a stamper is fixed to a template under an expanded state during a period of time estending from the later half of a molding time up to post mold release with a moving mechanism moving a press member forward or backward toward the stamper.
CONSTITUTION: A moving mechanism 20 presses a press member 17 with great pressing force and a stamper 16 is fixed to a cavity plate 12 under an expanded state and further a displacement of a radial direction is restricted. In other words, after clamping of a core plate 11 and the cavity plate 12, the moving mechanism 20 fixes the stamper 16 to the core plate 11 under an expanded state with great pressing force during a period of time extending from after expansion of the stamper 16 by coping with fixed pressing force of the press member 17 with heating and flowing of resin filled into a cavity 17 with heating and flowing of resin filled into a cavity 18. Therefore, both a deviation of a radial direction of the stamper 16 based on contraction at the time of cooling for molding and instability in fixing of the stamper 16 at the time of mold release can be cancelled. With this construction, a high-quality recording medium can be molded by cancelling defective transfer or duplicated transfer to a recording surface.
