Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable molding of a honeycomb molding capable of very thinly forming a width of a molding groove, accurately forming an inner surface of a branch channel in a clean surface shape of a small unevenness of a flowing resistance and resultantly having a very thin thickness of a wall and not having a defect on a wall surface.
SOLUTION: A molding die for the honeycomb molding comprises an introducing layer 10A formed by bundling and connecting slender wire materials 50A and having introducing holes 11A at one end side to introduce the material and a molding layer 30A formed at the other end side and having molding grooves 31A to extrude the honeycomb molding. In this case, the materials 50A each has an introducing part 60A and a molding part 80A. The part 60A has a smooth connecting surface 62A and an introducing hole constituting surface 61A on its side surface. The part 80A has only a smooth molding groove constituting surface 81A formed on its side surface. The surfaces 62A are closely contacted with each other without gap and a part surrounded by the surfaces 61A constitutes the holes 11A on the part 60A of the material 50A. An outside area of the surface 81A constitutes the grooves 31A on the part 80A.
