Title:
MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000158982
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To facilitate the mounting on the shaft of an electric motor and perform the self alignment by forming a center part and a number of projection parts extending radially outward from the center on the drive connecting part of the electric motor, and distorting the connecting part until it is rightly aligned when it is not rightly aligned to an opening part in its mounting on a drive shaft.

The drive shaft 14 of an electric motor has a connecting part 26, a first receiving part 28 has a first form having a rectangular sectional area, and a second receiving part 36 having the first end of a support shaft 30 has a second form having a non-rectangular section. The second receiving part comprises an extension part 32 having a non-rectangular form, which is fitted to the rectangular profile of an opening part 28. In order to connect the support shaft 30 to the drive shaft 14 in groping assembling process, the support shaft 30 is preferably formed by use of an elastic material, and the extension part 32 has a finger-like part (projection part), so that the extension part 32 is distorted, when pushed into the opening part 28 to make contact with a part of the connecting part 26, to automatically rotate and automatically align the support shaft 30.
