A motor control apparatus for controlling a motor for driving a carriage that moves reciprocally includes a correlation value detecting part for detecting the rotational speed correlative value that correlates with the rotational speed of the motor; a contact detecting part for detecting a contact between the carriage and an end part member arranged at the end of a movement route of the carriage; and a control execution part which controls the motor, by supplying a drive voltage to the motor based on the rotational speed correlation value. The control execution part does not control the motor, based on the rotational speed correlative value during a predetermined period, after detection of contact.
