To provide a motor control technique that allows a smaller motor to be used while ensuring necessary output.SOLUTION: A motor control device for controlling a motor includes: a drive circuit of the motor that includes a semiconductor device and is mounted on a substrate different from the motor; load switching means for setting a load on the motor to a first load in a first state, and setting the load on the motor to a second load smaller than the first load in a second state; and control means for controlling the drive circuit and the load switching means. The control means starts rotation of the motor by controlling the drive circuit when the load switching means is in the second state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
