Abstract:
To provide a motor control device and a motor control method that are able to hinder decrease in travel performance of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device according to an embodiment comprises a motor control unit, a difference determination unit, and an operation determination unit. The motor control unit individually controls a plurality of motors for respectively rotating and driving the left and right drive wheels of a vehicle. The difference determination unit determines whether there is a difference equal to or larger than a first threshold between the revolving speeds of the left and right drive wheels while the same command value has been input to each of the motors for the left and right drive wheels by the motor control unit. The operation determination unit determines whether a steering has been operated in the direction of one of the left and right drive wheels, which has a revolving speed higher than the other. In a case where the difference determination unit determines that there is a difference equal to or larger than the first threshold between the revolving speeds of the left and right drive wheels and, in addition, in a case where the operation determination unit determines that the steering has been operated in the direction of the drive wheel higher in revolving speed than the other, the control unit corrects the respective output characteristics of the motors for the left and right drive wheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
