Abstract:

To provide a motor control device allowing achievement of reduction in size of the device and achievement of low cost.

A motor control device comprises: an inverter bridge circuit that includes an inverter bridge converting DC power from a DC power supply into AC power and supplying the AC power to a motor; a control circuit that outputs a PWM control signal to the inverter bridge circuit; a regenerative-power processing circuit that is connected in parallel to a smooth capacitor between the positive side and the negative side of the DC power supply; a brake-power processing circuit that is connected to an AC power supply line from the inverter bridge to the motor; a regenerative resistor that is included in the regenerative-power processing circuit and processes the regenerative power from the motor; and a common resistor that is included in the brake-power processing circuit and concurrently serves as a brake resistor processing the brake power from the motor.
