Abstract:
To alleviate a peak of a reverse electromotive current at the time of stop of a DC motor when the DC motor used for a printer is PWM-driven by open-loop control.
A printer comprises a DC motor and a motor control section for PWM-driving the DC motor by open-loop control. When stopping the DC motor that is being driven by a first duty, the motor control section drives the DC motor by a second duty lower than the first duty and subsequently stops the DC motor.
