To provide a motor controller used for a mechanical analog-type indicator, capable of realizing a pointer-type indicator that is visually comfortable by allowing a pointer to move smoothly.
When a data reception unit 10 receives plural pieces of data Da that are sequentially inputted at predetermined intervals, a motor drive control unit 11 calculates a rotation amount of a pointer from at least the initially-received data Da and the lastly-received data Da among the received plural pieces of data Da, and sets a period from reception of the initial data Da to reception of the last data Da as a movement period of the pointer. The motor drive control unit 11 calculates a rotation speed that allows the pointer to continuously rotate for the above movement period by the above rotation amount, and that lowers its speed during start and end periods of the movement period as compared with an intermediate period of the movement period, and controls a motor drive unit 12 so that the pointer rotates at the above rotation speed.
