To provide a motor drive circuit capable of unfailingly performing a fail operation while protecting a short circuit switching element in a fail.
In order to achieve the purpose, the motor drive circuit C for opening a relay 6 and causing the short circuit switching element 8 to perform a closing operation in a fail delays the opening operation of the relay 6 and causes the short circuit switching element 8 to perform a closing operation in the fail.
