Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a motor drive device for quickly removing residual charges of a DC link capacitor when being separated from an AC power supply at low cost.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 1 includes: a forward converter 11 for converting AC input from an AC power supply 3 to DC to output it to a DC link; a DC link capacitor 12 provided in the DC link; a plurality of inverse converters 13-n that are provided for motors 2-n, respectively, converts DC in the DC link to AC to output it to the corresponding motors 2-n; a temperature detector 14 for detecting temperature of the respective motors 2-n; an opening/closing unit 15 for opening/closing a cable way between the AC power supply 3 and the forward converter 11; and a residual charge consumption controller 16 for performing control to output a reactive current to at least one of the plurality of inverse converters 13-n according to information on temperature of the motor detected by the temperature detector 14 when the opening/closing unit 15 open-circuits the cable way and input of AC from the AC power supply 3 to the forward converter 11 is suspended.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
